Cowboys Spread Christmas Cheer with Donations to Charities

This Christmas, Your Club teamed up with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys to give back to those doing it tough.

Together, we donated $50,000 worth of Cowboys merchandise to Fuel for SchoolsRonald McDonald House Charities North Australia, and Hope in a Suitcase.

Fullback Scott Drinkwater, prop Sam McIntyre, and Centre Abigail Roache helped us hand over the gifts, bringing smiles to kids and families across our region. The charities will use these donations to fill school backpacks, support local families, and raise much-needed funds.

“Credit to the Cowboys Leagues for donating what they have to a few charities that they will hand out to a few families doing it tough,” Drinkwater said.

“Kids who don’t get their presents under the tree and are doing it a bit tough, this will put a smile on their faces.”

The Operations Manager for Fuel for Schools Paddy Pool said both the Cowboys Leagues Club and The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have been very supportive of the charity for a long time with monetary donations and allowing the not for profit to run charity raffles.

“The donations they’ve given us today will go towards giving kids backpacks,” Mr Pool said.

“We’ll load as much of the stuff into the school backpacks, there’s some kids that are going to get some nice surprises when they open their backpack, and some stuff we’ll also use for fundraising purposes.”

Your support makes this possible – thank you for helping us spread festive cheer throughout North Queensland.
