CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) MEMBER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY 25TH MARCH

As always, our patron & staff safety are paramount. Even though we will be open for takeaway only, we are continuing to take many additional precautions to protect the health & well-being of our staff, members & guests.

To enter the Club and order or pick up your takeaway we ask you to confirm the following:

  • You haven’t been in contact with a person with suspected or confirmed COVID-19; or
  • You are not experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19; or
  • You have not travelled internationally in the past 14 days

When waiting for or collecting your order, we also ask that you continue to maintain good hygiene practices including:

  • covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue
  • disposing of tissues properly
  • washing your hands often with soap and water, including before and after eating and after going to the toilet
  • using the hand sanitisers located within the Club
  • if you are sick, avoid contact with others by staying at home
  • practicing social distancing – keeping a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people whenever possible and minimising physical contact, especially with people at higher risk such as older people and people with existing health conditions.

The following additional safety precautions are also in place at the Club:

  • Social distancing measures have been implemented. There must be a density of no more than one person per 4 square metres of floor space when paying, waiting for and collecting your takeaway.
  • Further to the Club’s pre-existing high standards for Club cleanliness, there will be increased sanitisation of all touch points within the Club.
  • We will be reducing a large range of touch points between patrons & staff which may affect some services. Please note that payment will be via EFTPOS only.
  • We will be increasing the amount of hand sanitiser stations located throughout the Club. When available, every service point within the Club will have sanitiser for staff & patron use.

In regards to caring for our team, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Staff who are unwell and/or experiencing cold/flu symptoms and/or have been in contact with a confirmed case, have been instructed to remain at home and seek medical assistance.
  • Staff have been encouraged not to travel and those who have traveled overseas will be self-isolating upon their return.
  • Regular updates & information regarding COVID-19 are being distributed to staff whenever available.

We will continue to monitor and assess all information regarding COVID-19, and respond in an appropriate manner as we receive information from Government and Health authorities. Whilst the Club is currently offering takeaway services, this is obviously an evolving issue and changes may be made without notice to ensure the safety of all staff, members & guests. We will do our best to keep you updated through our social channels and via our e-newsletter.
